Camden County Deputy Casey Marks is Recovering After Being Seriously Injured in a Crash Friday Night

Camden County, Missouri-

A Missouri State Highway Patrol report confirms that a Camden County Deputy was involved in a car crash Friday night while responding to a domestic disturbance call.

Report #180731875 states that the accident occurred at approximately 5:37 p.m. on Route MM near Villages Way in Camden County.

Casey Marks, 28, of Camdenton MO and deputy, was eastbound on MM according to the report, when 30 year old Danielle Borrett of Sunrise Beach, attempted a left turn from the right shoulder of MM, just as deputy Marks was passing.

Deputy Marks attempted to avoid the crash but the 2016 Ford Escape that Borrett was driving, crashing into deputy Marks’ patrol car, a 2014 Dodge Charger.

The Charger after the collision travelled off of the left side of the roadway and overturned according to the MSHP report.

Deputy Casey Marks was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by Lakewest Ambulance for treatment of his serious injuries and later was transported to University Hospital by the Staff For Life.

Borrett sustained minor injuires in the collision and was treated at Lake Regional Hospital.

The accident was investigated by Trooper MR Lawson, 831, and was assisted by Cpl. BJ Blankenbeker, 895.
