Cape Man Killed in Delta Crash

In Cape Girardeau, one man is killed and two people were injured in the two-vehicle crash.

On September 12, 2011 at approximately 11:15 a.m., 54 year old Marc Glickstein, from Cape Girardeau, Missouri was operating a 1999 Toyota Corella and traveling on Highway 25 at Delta in the southbound direction. Glicksteins vehicle was only occupied by him.

At that said time and place, 52 year old Ladon Malloy and her occupant, 53 year old Jeffery Malloy, both from Dexter, Missouri was operating a 2003 GMC Truck. Also, they were traveling on Highway 25 just north of the Delta city limit, but in the northbound direction.

According the Missouri State Highway Patrol this crash occurred when Marc Glickstein was traveling in the southbound direction on Highway 25 and lost control of his vehicle. He then overcorrected into the path of the oncoming traffic of Ladon Malloy. Malloy struck Glickstein on the right side of the vehicle.

Jeffrey and Ladon Malloy sustained moderate injuries. They both were taken by private vehicles to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment of their injuries. Glickstein was taken by ambulance to Southeast Hospital and then was pronounced dead by the Cape Girardeau County Coroner, John Clifton. All participants of this two-vehicle crash were wearing their seatbelts.

Both Malloy and Glickstein received total damages to their cars from the crash. Glickstein’s car was towed by Carnells Wrecker Service. And Malloy’s car was towed by Advance Auto.

Marc Glickstein’s death marks the 29th traffic fatality in Troop E of this year. This auto-crash was investigated by Sergeant B.S. Lively #908.
