Car Overturns in Creek in Washington County

When one driver failed to yield on Highway 21 in Washington County, he pulled into the path of another vehicle and crashed, and the victim suffered moderate injuries as a result.

On July 23, 2012 at approximately 4:00 P.M., 63-year-old Gloria Sansoucie from Blackwell, Missouri was heading north in a 2002 Jeep Cherokee on Highway 21 at Cannon Mines Road. At said time and place, Elliott Blaire, age 16, from Cadet, Missouri was heading west in a 2011 Dodge 3500.

The crash occurred when Blair failed to yield and pulled into the path of Sansoucie’s vehicle. The front left corner of Sansoucie’s vehicle crashed into the rear of the rear left corner of Blair’s vehicle. Sansoucie then traveled off the roadway and overturned in a creek.

Sansoucie suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Arch Helicopter to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Couer. It was not reported that Blair suffered injuries as a result of this crash.

Sansoucie’s Jeep Cherokee received total damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Elliot’s Towing. Blair’s Dodge received moderate damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Elliot’s Towing.

This crash was investigated by Trooper D. Thompson of Troop C in Washington County.
