Republic, MO – Two men are dead after a car crash involving two tractor trailers early Wednesday morning in Southwest, Missouri.

Corey Gresham, 41, is one of the two fatally injured drivers involved in a four car chain reaction crash on Highway 60 in Republic, MO. Lawrence Coan, 65, was the other driver fatally injured from Kimberling City, MO.

While sitting at a stop light behind a semi, Coan’s pickup and Gresham’s car were hit from behind by a California man driving a second tractor trailer, crushing the two vehicles between the large semi trailers.

A fifth vehicle received minor damage from debris from the wreck while also sitting at the stop light.

Investigators tested both tractor trailer drivers for alcohol; meanwhile, the westbound lanes of Highway 60 were shut down for five hours while the crash site was examined to determine what actually happened.

Lei Sun, 31, is being charged with two counts of first-degree involuntary manslaughter and is being held in the Greene County jail on $25,000 bond.
