Collision with Tree Ejects Both Passengers

In Clever County, two participants involved in a crash are seriously injured after collision with a tree ejected them from their vehicle.

On March 5, 2013 at approximately 1:15 a.m., Larry Cherry, age 28 from Clever, Missouri was operating a 2000 Dodge pickup truck. Lindsey Lowery, age 26 from Billings, Missouri was the only passenger in Larry’s vehicle at the time of the crash.

At that said date and time, Larry was traveling in the southbound direction on Metzletein Road and a half of a mile of Clever. The collision occurred as Larry neglected to operate the vehicle correctly and ran off the roadway and into the direction of a tree. Larry’s vehicle collided with the tree, which caused Larry and Lindsey to be ejected from the vehicle.

Larry Cherry and Lindsey Lowery were both in critical condition due to the crash. They were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri with serious injuries.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Larry nor Lindsey was wearing their seat belts during the time of the crash.

Larry’s 2000 Dodge pickup truck received total damages and was towed by Larry’s Wrecker of Billings.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
