Couple Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident

In St. Charles County, a man and a woman are both seriously injured after they are ejected from their motorcycle.

On September 20, 2012 at approximately 10:01 p.m., Steven Vogel, age 49, and his wife, Betty, were operating a 2006 Harley Davidson Electric Glide Classic. Steven was traveling in the eastbound direction on Missouri highway 94 and .3 miles east of highway DD.

The crash occurred when Steven’s motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway and collided with a guard rail. The motorcycle returned to the roadway and then overturned. Both Steven and his passenger, Betty, were ejected from the motorcycle.

Steven and Betty Vogel suffered serious injuries due to the crash. They were transported to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur by the St. Charles ambulance district. According to the crash report taken from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Steven and Betty were both wearing appropriate safety devices during the time of the crash.

Steven’s 2006 Harley Davidson Classic received moderate damages from the collision and was towed by Crash City Towing.

This motorcycle crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop C.
