Crash Caused by Frost Covered Roadway

In Nodaway County, the driver of one vehicle lost control on the frost covered roadway and causes a head-on collision.

On December 18, 2012 at approximately 7:50 a.m., Sabah Abdulazez, age 38 from Kansas City, Missouri was operating a 1994 Dodge Van. Tyler Evans, age 31 from Stanberry, Missouri was operating a 2004 Mitsubishi.

At that said time, Sabah was traveling in the southbound direction on US Highway 136 while Tyler Evans was traveling in the northbound direction. The collision occurred as Sabah lost control on the frost covered road, crossed over the center line, and collided with Tyler Evan’s vehicle head-on. Both vehicles came to a rest on US Highway 136.

Sabah Abdulazez received serious injuries from the collision and was transported by Lifenet to Heartland Regional Medical Center. Tyler Evans was moderately injured from the crash and was taken by Nodaway County EMS to St. Francis Hospital.

Sabah’s 1994 Dodge Van received total damages from the collision and was towed by Boyles Towing. Tyler Evan’s 2004 Mitsubishi received total damages and was towed by Kizer Collision Repair.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop H, the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department, and the Jackson Township Fire and Rescue.
