Deputy Injured In T-Bone Collision

Scott County, MO – A deputy receives moderate injuries after a car makes a left turn in front of him.

Olivia K. Waters, 22, of Sikeston, was driving a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe on McCullah drive. Scott County Deputy Jeremy R. Perrien, 31, of Blodgett, was driving a 2010 Dodge Charger southbound on US 61.

Around 3:55 p.m. on April 10, 2013, Olivia K. Waters took a left hand turn into the path of Deputy Perrien’s charger at the US 61 and McCullah intersection causing Deputy Perrien’s cruiser to collide with Water’s Santa Fe.

Olivia K. Waters was transported by ambulance to MO Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO with minor injuries. Waters was wearing a seatbelt.

Scott County Deputy Jeremy R. Perrien was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO by ambulance with more serious injuries. According to the accident report, Deputy Perrien was not wearing a seatbelt.

Both vehicles in the collision received total damages and were towed by Satterfields from Sikeston, MO.
