Driver and Passenger Ejected In Crash


In Cedar County, the driver and the passenger inside a vehicle are ejected after collision with a rock bluff.

On February 17, 2014 at approximately 7:20 p.m., Cole Hipskind, age 18 of Stockton, Missouri and Riccardo Zanoni, age 42 of Stockton, Missouri were inside a 2002 Chrysler Van. Neither of the occupants deny being the driver at the time of the crash and the investigation continues.

At that said date and time, the 2002 Chrysler Van was traveling in the westbound direction on Missouri Highway 32 and two miles east of Stockton, Missouri. The crash occurred as the vehicle traveled off the roadway, collided with a rock bluff, and overturned. Both Cole and Riccardo were ejected from the vehicle.

Riccardo and Cole both received serious injuries and were transported by air evacuation to Mercy Hospital of Springfield, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Cole nor Riccardo was wearing their seat belt at the time of the collision.

The 2002 Chrysler Van received total damages and was towed by Mike’s Wrecker of Stockton, Missouri.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
