Driver and Passenger Killed in Howell County Crash

When one driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a fence and tree, both she and her passenger were killed on Missouri Route CC of Howell County.

On January 9, 2012 at approximately 6:00 A.M., 50-year-old Cammy Stover from West Plains, Missouri was driving a 1995 Toyota and heading eastbound on Missouri Route CC 4 miles west of West Plains in Howell County. Stover had one passenger – Angelia Cypret, age 52, from West Plains.

The crash occurred when Stover ran off the right side of the roadway and then went up an embankment where she crashed into a fence and tree. Neither Cypret nor Stover was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The driver, Stover, and the passenger, Cypret, were killed and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Howell County Coroner Tim Cherry. The next-of-kin were notified and both Stover and Cypret were transported from the scene of the crash to Robertson Drago Funeral Home in West Plains, Missouri.

Stover’s Toyota received extensive damage as a result of this crash and was towed by Midway Towing & Salvage of Pomona, Missouri.

This investigation was led by Sergeant D. D. Finley. This was Troop G’s 1st and 2nd fatality for 2012.
