On Saturday April 13, at 5:04 p.m., Christine Marie Brown, age 42, of St. Peters was driving a 2009 Honda Civic when she crossed the center line near Williott Road and Crescent Hills. Donald Gemienhart, age 90, of St. Charles, and his passenger Ruth Thimmig, age 91, of St. Peters were in Gemienhart’s 2012 Chevrolet Sonic when they were hit by Brown head-on.
Christine Marie Brown is being treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Upon being interviewed at the scene of the accident, Brown told police that she was on her way back from buying heroin capsules in St. Louis. According to court documents, Brown stated she had a syringe in her bra that was used to inject heroin into her arm.
Brown is being charged with drug possession and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia; bail is set at $30,000 in the case. Authorities stated that pending the outcome of the toxicology tests taken after the collision, additional charges could be filed.
