Failure to Negotiate Vehicle Seriously Injures Passenger

In Greene County, the passenger inside a vehicle receives serious injuries after the driver failed to negotiate a curve on the roadway correctly.

On February 26, 2014 at approximately 7:10 p.m., Charles Cannon, age 59 of Springfield, Missouri was operating a 2008 GMC Serria along with passenger Linda Freeman, age 58 of Springfield, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Charles was traveling in the northbound direction on Missouri Highway HH south of Farm 54 and four miles northeast of Willard, Missouri. The crash occurred as Charles failed to negotiate a curve along the roadway correctly, which caused the vehicle to travel off the roadway and overturn.

Linda Freeman received serious injuries and Charles Cannon received minor injuries. Both Charles and Linda were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Charles nor Linda was wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

Charles’ 2008 GMC Serria received total damages and was towed by All Night Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
