Failure to Stop Seriously Injures Two Drivers


In Henry County, the at-fault driver of a vehicle fails to stop at an intersection which causes a collision and seriously injures the drivers of both vehicles.

On April 6, 2013 at approximately 12:55 a.m., Carol Sell, age 42 from Clinton, Missouri was operating a 2006 Buick Lucerne. Sondra Snider, age 17 from Calhoun, Missouri was operating a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.

At that said date and time, Carol Sell was traveling in the southbound direction as Sondra Snider was traveling in the westbound direction on Missouri Highway 13 at Route Z. The collision occurred as Carol was southbound on Missouri Highway 13 when Sondra collided with her vehicle. Sondra failed to stop at the Missouri Highway 13 and Route Z intersection. After impact, both vehicles traveled off the west side of Missouri Highway 13.

Carol Sell and Sondra Snider received serious injuries from the collision and were flown by Lifeflight Eagle to Research Hospital.

According to the crash report, neither Carol Sell nor Sondra Snider were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Sondra Snider’s 2012 Chevrolet Cruze and Carol Sell’s 2006 Buick Lucerne received total damages and both were towed by Golden Valley Wrecker.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop A and the Henry County Sheriff’s Department.
