Fatal Accident in Ste. Genevieve County

In St. Genevieve County, a semi was backing across lanes into a private drive when another vehicle struck the towed unit of the semi causing a fatality.

On June 24, 2014 at approximately 5:45 p.m., Russell Turley, age 51 of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri was operating a 2002 Peterbilt. Roger Seabaugh, age 60 of Farmington, Missouri was operating a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500.

At that said date and time, Russell Turley was traveling eastbound on Missouri 32, Russell began to back across the westbound lanes into a private drive. Roger Seabaugh vehicle struck the towed unit of Russell’s semi.

Roger was pronounced dead by coroner Bosler at 6:09 p.m., and transported to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center. Russell Turley was not injured in this accident.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Roger was the only one not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

Roger Seabaugh 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 received total damages and was towed by Stuppy’s Towing. Russell Turley’s 2002 Peterbilt received moderate damages and was driven from the scene.

This fatality auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol with the assistance of Troop C.
