Fatal Crash in St. Louis County


In St. Louis County, a woman of Pacific, Missouri dies after she lost control of her vehicle and drove into oncoming lanes of traffic.

On November 8, 2012 at approximately 7:52 a.m., Mary Rallo, age 55 from Pacific, Missouri was operating a 2003 Dodge Dakota. Michael Middleton, age 54 from Las Vegas, Nevada was operating a 2013 Kenworth T660.

At that said time and place, Mary Rallo was traveling in the westbound direction on U.S. Highway 66, one mile west of Dozier Crossing, while Michael Middleton was in the eastbound direction. The crash occurred as Mary Rallo lost control of her vehicle and collided with the guardrail. Mary’s vehicle travelled across the highway and collided with the guardrail again as her vehicle travelled back across the highway as it then collided with Michael Middleton’s vehicle.

Mary Rallo was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the Pacific County Fire Department and then taken by the St. Louis County medical examiner to the St. Louis County morgue. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael Middleton was uninjured. Mary Rallo was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.

Mary Rallo’s 2003 Dodge received total damages and Michael Middleton’s 2013 Kenworth received extensive damages from the collision. Both vehicles were towed by Hyndrich Bother’s Towing.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop C and the Pacific County Fire Department.
