Gerald Grable of Green Ridge Missouri is Tragically Killed in an Accident Involving a Semi Truck

Pettis County, Missouri-

The Missouri State Highway Patrol released a report this past Saturday, regarding an investigation into a crash that occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Monday, August 6th, 2018 in Pettis County. The terrible crash claimed the life of Green Ridge resident, Gerald Grable.

The MSHP’s report #180480908 states that Eric W. Brown, 51, of Jefferson City, was westbound on Route J, driving a 2016 Kenworth Semi Truck and Trailer and attempting to cross US Highway 65.¬†According to the report, Gerald W. Grable, 68, of Green Ridge Missouri, was traveling northbound on US Highway 65 in his 2016 Chevrolet Sonic and was unable to stop. Grable crashed into the trailer being pulled by Brown’s semi-truck.

Mr. Grable was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 12:00 p.m. by Pettis County Coroner, Skip Smith. Mr. Grable’s body was transported to the Boone County Medical Examiner’s office. Mr. Brown was uninjured in the crash.

The crash involving the semi-truck was investigated by Cpl. DE Fessenden, 232, of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop A. He was assisted by Cpl. JD Owens, 876, Sgt. GD Ward, 1189, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and the Pettis County Fire Department.

This crash was Troop A’s 43rd fatality crash and 45th fatality of 2018.
