Granby Missouri Resident Keith Hopper was Struck and Killed While Horseback Riding



Neosho Missouri-

Granby Missouri resident Keith Hopper, 49, was horseback riding this past Sunday, January 27th at approximately 6:30 p.m.

He was riding in the roadway eastbound on MO Hwy 86, about 3 miles east of Neosho.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s report, an eastbound 2007 Dodge Ram driven by John M. Johnson, 49, of Stark City Missouri, struck Hopper and the horse he was riding.

Keith Hopper was taken to Freeman West Hospital where he was pronounced by Dr. Dalton at approximately 7:30 p.m.

According to the report Johnson’s Dodge Ram truck was totaled and he was uninjured.

The family of Keith Hopper may have a claim against the insurance company that insures Johnson’s Dodge, Shelter Mutual.
