Missouri woman is sent to the hospital for treatment of injuries after being rear ended by another vehicle.
On May 21, 2012 at approximately 1:20 p.m. 27 year old Jake Monday of Caurthersville, Missouri was operating a 2005 Suzuki traveling southbound on RT NN, 3 miles east of Springfield. Monday’s vehicle was occupied by himself and 37 year old Jennifer Weddington also of Caruthersville, Missouri.
At that said time and place, 17 year old Robert Jacobs of Caruthersville, Missouri was operating a 2007 Pontiac also traveling southbound on RT NN, behind Monday’s vehicle. As Monday slowed to make a right turn, Jacobs failed to yield and struck Monday’s vehicle in the rear.
Passenger Jennifer Weddington was transported from the scene of the crash to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment of minor injuries. Neither driver was injured in the crash. All parties involved were wearing their safety devices at the time of the crash.
Monday’s vehicle received moderate damage in the crash and was towed from the scene by Apex Towing of Rogersville, Missouri. The at-fault vehicle also received moderate damage in the crash and was towed from the scene by Apex Towing. It is unknown whether Monday possessed insurance coverage for his vehicle; however, the at-fault driver, Robert Jacobs, did possess insurance coverage at the time of the crash.
This crash was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. M.W. Trader of Troop D.
