Three People Injured Due to a Head On Collision


Head on Collision Causes Multiple Serious Injuries in Laclede County

In Laclede County, three people were injured due to a head on collision.

On December 8th, 2014 at approximately 4:08 pm, Chrystal L Sell, age 19 of Conway, Missouri was operating a 1991 GMC Sierra. Thomas H Clanton, age 17 of Conway, Missouri was operating a 1989 Ford Ranger. Also in Thomas Clanton’s truck was Jacob Clanton, age 13.

At the said date and time, Chrystal L Sell was traveling westbound on Highway J, approximately 8 miles east of Conway, when her vehicle crossed the center of the roadway and crashed into Thomas H Clanton’s truck, head on.

Mercy Ambulance transported Sell to Cox Hospital South Springfield with serious injuries. Both Clantons were also transported by Mercy Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon. Thomas Clanton, sustained moderate injuries and Jacob sustained serious injuries.
Chrystal Sell’s 1991 GMC Sierra received total damages and was towed by C&S Towing. The 1989 Ford Ranger, driven by Thomas Clanton also received total damages and was towed by New Generation Towing.

Both drivers and passenger were reported to have been wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
The head-on collision was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop I.
