Head-on Collision Ejects Both Drivers

In Johnson County, the drivers of two vehicles are ejected and are seriously injured after a head-on collision.

On January 26, 2013 at approximately 11:50 p.m., Trevor Bloom, age 20 from Kingsville, Missouri was operating a Honda CRF 150. Dennis Shroyer, age 23 from Kingsville, Missouri was operating a Honda CRF 100.

At that said date and time, Dennis Shroyer was traveling in the northbound direction as Trevor Bloom was traveling in the southbound direction on County Road Northwest 1771. The collision occurred as both of the drivers approached one another and collided head-on.

Dennis Shroyer and Trevor Bloom received serious injuries from the head-on collision and were transported by Johnson County ambulance to the Research Medical Center.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Trevor Bloom nor Dennis Shroyer had on any safety equipment.

Dennis Shroyer’s Honda CRF 100 and Trevor Bloom’s CRF 150 both received extensive damages from the head-on collision and were released to the owners.

This motorcycle crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop A, Johnson County Ambulance District, Johnson County Fire District, Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, and MSHP 528.
