On July 18, 2012 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Monica Feeler, age 45 and from Vienna, Missouri was operating a 2001 Ford Taurus and traveling in the southbound direction on Missouri highway 63. Charles Taylor, age 59 and of Ranger, Georgia was operating a 2011 Dodge Ram and traveling in the northbound direction on highway 63.
At that said time and place, Charles was traveling north on Missouri highway 63 as Monica was in the southbound direction. The crash occurred as Charles partially traveled off the right side of the roadway, over corrected, traveled across the center line, and then collided with Monica’s vehicle head-on. Due to the impact from the collision, Monica’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree and then a fence.
Monica Feeler received serious injuries from the head-on collision and was transported by Staff For Life to the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri for medical treatment. Charles Taylor received minor injuries from the collision and was taken by Osage ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Monica Feeler was not found to be wearing her seat belt, while Charles Taylor was reported to be wearing his seat belt during the time of the crash collision.
This head-on collision was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop F and the Osage County Sheriff’s Office.
