Head-on Collision Seriously Injures Two


In Camden County, two Lebanon residents are seriously injured after their vehicle is struck head-on.

On August 19, 2013 at approximately 1:55 p.m., Benjamin Hendee, age 35 of Eldon, Missouri was operating a 2000 Oldsmobile. Samuel Price, age 80 of Lebanon, Missouri was operating a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado along with his wife, Linda, age 69.

At that said date and time, Benjamin Hendee was traveling in the northbound direction as Samuel Price was traveling in the southbound direction on Missouri Highway 5 at Mount Horeb Road. The crash occurred as Benjamin was in the turning lane, turning left onto Mount Horeb Road. He failed to yield to oncoming traffic and turned into the path of Samuel Price’s vehicle and they collided head-on.

Samuel and Linda Price were seriously injured in the head-on collision and both were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon. Benjamin Hendee received moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all occupants involved were wearing their seat belts.

Samuel Price’s 2000 Chevrolet Silverado and Benjamin Hendee’s 2000 Oldmobile Alero received total damages. Both vehicles were towed by Bledsoe Conoco.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop F.
