Jefferson County Crash Leads to Serious Injury for Two Women

House Springs man collides with another vehicle ultimately resulting in a three car crash and serious injuries.

On February 1, 2011 at approximately 4:05pm, 74 year old Robert O’Neal was operating a 2003 Ford Explorer (vehicle 1) traveling eastbound on MO Route 30 west of local Hillsboro Road. At that said time and place, 45 year old Kimberly Manning was operating a 1995 Saturn (vehicle 2) also traveling eastbound on MO Route 30, directly in front of O’Neal.

O’Neal then ran his vehicle directly into the back of Manning and pushed her off the left side of the roadway where she crossed the center median and entered the westbound lanes and into the path of a third vehicle driven by 58 year old Karen Orlando (vehicle 3). The front of vehicle 3 then struck the rear passenger side of vehicle 2. Vehicle 2, driven by Kimberly Manning, then traveled off the right side of the westbound lanes and came to rest.

Driver of vehicle 2, Kimberly Manning, was taken by survival flight to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, Creve Coeur with serious injuries. Driver of vehicle 3, Karen Orlando, was taken by Big River Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center with moderate injuries. The at-fault driver, Robert O’Neal (vehicle 1) was not injured in the crash.

The vehicles of the injured parties received total damage and were towed from the scene by Northwest Towing. The vehicle of the at-fault driver received moderate damage and was also towed from the scene by Northwest Towing.
