CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A Kansas City Missouri driver is facing some serious allegations following a fatal, head-on car crash in Camden County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Ford Escape driven by Delilah R. Taylor, 42, of Kansas City Missouri, crossed the centerline and crashed head-on, into a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Lauren Rubi, 26, of Camdenton Missouri.
The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 16th, 2017. It occurred on Route D, just north of Brush Arbor Road.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says Delilah R. Taylor, 42, of Kansas City, crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle, operated by Lauren A. Rubi, 26, of Camdenton. Rubi passed away later at Lake Regional Hospital. Taylor was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries.
Lauren Rubi was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital by Dr. Douglas Wilson, just before 6:00 p.m.
The woman who allegedly caused the fatal collision, Delilah Rose Taylor of Kansas City, is reportedly being charged with second degree felony murder, driving while revoked, failure to drive on right half of the roadway resulting in a crash, no seat belt and felony tampering.
This is Troop F’s sixth fatal for December and 58th for 2017.
The fatal crash was investigated by SGT J. E. LOWARY (466) AND SGT G. T. CURNES (818) WITH Major Crash Investigation Unit III of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F.
