Man Killed in Rollover Crash

In Phelps County, a single vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon killed the driver involved.

On September 19, 2012 at approximately 5:25 p.m., Larry Ham, age 59 and from Salem, Missouri was operating a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. Larry Ham was traveling in the eastbound direction on Missouri highway 68.

At that said time and place, Larry Ham was traveling eastbound on Missouri highway 68 and twelve miles north of Salem, Missouri. The crash occurred as Larry ran off the right side of the roadway, over corrected, and then overturned. Larry Ham was ejected from the vehicle.

Larry Ham was pronounced fatal at the scene of the crash by Phelps County deputy coroner, Lenox Jones, and his body was transported to the Phelps County morgue. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Larry Ham was not wearing a seat belt during the time of the crash.

Larry Ham’s 1998 Chevrolet Blazer received total damages and was towed by Whitaker’s Towing.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop I. This is troop I’s 32nd fatality for 2012.
