Missouri Resident Injured in Motorcycle Crash

When one driver pulled out in front of an oncoming motorcycle driver on MO 58 in Johnson County, the victim was ejected off his motorcycle and received moderate injuries as a result.

On April 25, 2012 at approximately 4:00 P.M., 23-year-old Brett Dykzeul from Kingsville, Missouri was heading east on a 2002 Yamaha on MO 58 at SW 1821 Road. At said time and place, Alyssa Perkins, age 16, from Kingsville, Missouri was heading east in a 2005 Chevrolet.

The crash occurred when Perkins pulled out in front of Dykzeul. Dykzeul braked and his motorcycle skidded down the roadway ejecting him from the seat.
Dykzeul suffered moderate injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash by private vehicle to St. Luke’s Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Dykzeul’s Yamaha motorcycle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by the owner. The vehicle of the at-fault driver, Perkins, did not receive damages as a result of this crash.

This investigation continues and is led by Sergeant D.S. Green of Troop A in Johnson County. There is no arrest information at this time.
