Moderate Injuries for Two Due to Head-on Collision

In Taney County, two women are moderately injured after a head-on collision on Sunday afternoon.

On April 8, 2012 at approximately 2:28 p.m., Betty Craig, age 84 and a resident of Hollister, Missouri was operating a 1998 Buick Regal and traveling in the eastbound direction. Tonya Moore, age 26 and a resident of Branson, Missouri was Betty’s passenger during the time of the collision. Sandra Ferdig, age 50 and a resident of Branson, Missouri was operating a 2007 Chevrolet and traveling in the westbound direction.

At that said time and place, Betty was traveling eastbound on highway 76, only a half mile west of Branson, when Sandra was approaching from the westbound direction. The collision occurred as Sandra traveled over the center line and struck Betty’s vehicle head-on.

Betty and her passenger Tonya both received moderate injuries from the crash collision and was transported by ambulance to Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the at-fault driver, Sandra, reported to be uninjured and did not seek any medical attention regarding the crash.

Betty’s 1998 Buick Regal received total damages and was towed by All Time Towing in Branson, Missouri. As for Sandra’s 2007 Chevrolet received extensive damages from the crash and was towed by All Time Towing.

This crash collision was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop D and the Western Taney County Crew.
