Motorcycle Crash Ends in Serious Injuries

In Christian County, a motorcycle crash caused by driver’s negligence and failure to yield ends in serious injuries for the motorist.

On April 26, 2012 at approximately 8:25 a.m., Christopher Brown, age 57 and of Ozark, Missouri was operating a 1992 Harley Davidson and traveling in the westbound direction. Charles Stine, age 70 and of Nixa, Missouri was operating a 2005 Chevrolet and traveling in the northbound direction.

At that said time and place, Christopher was riding his motorcycle on North Street in the westbound direction, .5 miles east of Nixa, as Charles was traveling northbound approaching Christopher. The accident occurred as Charles failed to yield and pulled into the path of Christopher.

Christopher suffered serious injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for medical treatment. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Charles Stine was uninjured and did not seek medical attention.

Christopher’s 1992 Harley Davidson received extensive damages from the crash and was towed by Henry’s Towing in Brookline Station, Missouri. Charles’ 2005 Chevrolet received extensive damages as well and was driven from the scene of the crash.

This motorcycle crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop D.
