Motorcycle Fatality in Bollinger County

In Bollinger County, a vehicle collides with a motorcycle as it attempted to make a turn, which resulted in the fatality of the motorcyclist.

On March 22, 2012 at approximately 6:15 p.m., Steve Walker, age 55 and of Zalma, Missouri was operating a 2000 Honda Motorcycle and traveling in the southbound direction of MO 51. Violet Little, age 31 and of Zalma, Missouri was operating a 1998 Old Bravada and traveling in the northbound direction.

At that said time and place, Violet was traveling northbound as Steve Walker was traveling southbound on US 51, when Violet attempted to make a left turn. As Violet attempted the turn, she turned into the path of Steve and collided with his motorcycle.

From the impact of the collision, Steve Walker was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Bollinger County coroner, Charlie Hutchings. Steve Walker was transported by coroner, Charlie, to Hutchings Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri. Violet Little was uninjured, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Steve Walker’s 2000 Honda Motorcycle and Violet Little’s 1998 Bravada received total damages and were towed by Advance Auto.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and was assisted by troop E. This is troop E’s 11th fatality for 2012.
