One Seriously Injured on Slick and Icy Roadway

In Callaway County, a head-on collision caused by driving on slick and icy roadway and slid into the path of another vehicle.

On February 13, 2012 at approximately 8:09 p.m., Danny Lamons, age 42 and of MoKane, Missouri was operating a 1996 Ford Bronco traveling in the southbound direction of Route C on County Road 455. Ronald Merriman, age 48 and of Fulton, Missouri was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu traveling in the northbound direction on County Road 455.

At that said time and place, Ronald was traveling northbound on route c when he slid on the slick and icy roadway. Ronald crossed the center line and collided with Danny’s vehicle head-on, which caused Danny to slide off the left side of the roadway.

Danny reported to have very serious injuries and he was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s hospital in Jefferson City. Ronald did not receive any injuries and did not seek medical attention from the head-on collision.

Danny’s 1996 Bronco and Ronald’s 2005 Malibu both received minor damages and were towed by Tom and Steve’s Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop F.
