Overturned Vehicle Seriously Injures Boy


In Caldwell County, a young boy is seriously injured when the driver lost control of the vehicle and drove off the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn several times.

On February 26, 2014 at approximately 3:30 p.m., David Campbell, age 16 of Braymer, Missouri was operating a 1999 GMC Truck along with passenger Cisco Clariday, age 13 of Braymer, Missouri.

At that said date and time, David was traveling in the westbound direction on Tobin Valley Road about two miles west of Braymer, Missouri. The crash occurred as David Campbell lost control of his vehicle and drove off the south side of the roadway. The vehicle then overturned several times before coming to a stop on its wheels. Cisco Clariday was ejected from the vehicle through the passenger window.

Cisco Clariday received serious injuries from the crash and was transported by LifeFlight Eagle to Children’s Mercy Hospital.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither David nor Cisco was wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash. Also, the report indicates that David did not seek medical assistance.

David’s1999 GMC Truck received total damages and was removed by the owner at a later time.
