On March 8, 2013 at approximately 7:11 p.m., Connie Hott, age 54 from Valley Park, Missouri was operating a 2004 Dodge Caravan. Jeffrey Thresher, age 49 from Cedar Hill, Missouri was Connie’s passenger during the time of the crash. Haley Kamp, age 20 from St. Genevieve, Missouri was operating a 2005 Ford Ranger.
At that said date and time, Connie Hott and Haley Kamp were both traveling in the southbound direction on Interstate 55 and at the 160 mile marker. The collision occurred as Haley changed lanes and then collided with Connie’s vehicle. From the impact of the collision, Connie’s vehicle crashed into the median and overturned, ejecting the Jeffrey Thresher from the vehicle.
Connie Hott and Jeffrey Thresher were both seriously injured from the crash and were in critical condition. Connie Hott was transported by Survival Flight to Barnes Hospital and Jeffrey Thresher was transported by air evacuation medical service to Barnes Hospital. Haley Kamp received minor injuries from the crash and was transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by the Ste. Genevieve County ambulance.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Connie Hott and Haley Kamp were wearing their seat belts during the time of the crash, however, Jeffrey Thresher was not wearing a seat belt.
Connie Hott’s 2004 Dodge Caravan and Haley Kamp’s 2005 Ford Ranger received total damages and both were towed by Stuppy’s Towing.
This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop C.
