Passenger Ejected in Motorcycle Crash

In Johnson County, the passenger on a motorcycle was ejected and received moderate injuries from the crash.

On April 21, 2013 at approximately 6:05 p.m., Dustin Current, age 28 from Warrensburg, Missouri was operating a 2006 Honda motorcycle. Alleena Burke, age 39 from Warrensburg, Missouri was Dustin’s only passenger at the time of the crash.

At that said time and place, Dustin was traveling in the westbound direction on US 50 at Missouri highway 13 and bypass off-ramp. The crash occurred when Dustin was traveling along US 50 and traveled off the right side of the road at the off-ramp to Missouri highway 13. The motorcycle traveled down a grassy embankment, ejecting Alleena Burke. The motorcycle continued traveling westbound through the median and returned to the roadway. Then the motorcycle came to a stop and returned to the site where the passenger was ejected.

Alleena Burke received moderate injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dustin Current was uninjured and did not seek any medical attention. Also the two participants involved in this motorcycle crash were found to be wearing their safety devices.

Dustin Current’s 2006 Honda motorcycle received minor damages and was towed by B & L Towing in Warrensburg.

This motorcycle crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop A and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
