In Jefferson County, a woman of Imperial, Missouri was killed after the driver failed to negotiate a curve correctly.
On January 16, 2013 at approximately 1:28 a.m., Daniel McGrath, age 49 from Ballwin, Missouri was operating a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Angela Chadd, age 37 from Imperial, Missouri was the only passenger inside the vehicle during the time of the crash.
At that said date and time, Daniel McGrath was traveling in the eastbound direction on Miller Road and east of Spring Forest Road. The crash occurred as Daniel was traveling east on Miller Road as he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Daniel exited the roadway to the right and collided with a rock, a tree, and then the vehicle overturned.
Angela Chadd was pronounced dead at the scene by Rock Township ambulance and then taken to St. Louis County morgue by Schaeffer Mortuary Services. Daniel McGrath received minor injuries from the crash and was transported by Rock Township ambulance to St. Anthony’s Hospital. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Daniel nor Angela was wearing their seat belts.
Daniel McGrath’s 2003 Jeep Cherokee received extensive damages and was towed by Timco Towing.
This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop C.
