Passenger Seriously Injured

In Polk County, the passenger inside a vehicle is seriously injured after the driver lost control and overturned several times.

On February 7, 2014 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Logan Borgstadt, age 31 of Grandview, Missouri was operating a 1999 Dodge Dakota along with passenger Kurt Brent, age 29 of Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Logan was traveling in the westbound direction on South 170th Road and a half mile west of Polk County. The crash occurred as Logan lost control on the snow and icy roadway and ran off the right side, colliding with a fence and then overturning into a creek bed.

Kurt Brent received serious injuries and was transported by a private vehicle to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar and then was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it is unknown whether or not Logan Borgstadt was injured in the crash as he fled the scene.

Logan’s 1999 Dodge Dakota received total damages and was towed by Defreece Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D. The investigation still continues.
