Pedestrian Killed in Johnson County Accident

In Johnson County, Susan Niermeier, 58, of Kingsville, Missouri died after a vehicle struck her on Highway 58.

On January 14, 2012 at approximately 6:10 a.m., Susan Niermeier, 58 years old and from Kingsville, Missouri was walking roadside on Highway 58. The vehicle involved in this fatality crash is Dustin Kaysik, age 35 and from Pleasant Hill, Missouri was operating a 1997 Chevrolet and traveling in the eastbound direction on highway 58.

At that said time and place, Susan was walking roadside on Highway 58, south of Maple Street, and Dustin was traveling eastbound at that same location. According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Susan was walking along the highway when she was struck by the vehicle driven by Dustin Kaysik.

Susan Niermeier was pronounced dead at the scene of this fatality crash by the Johnson County assistant coroner, David Adair. Susan was then taken to Sweeney Phillips Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri. Dustin Kaysik reported to be uninjured and did not seek medical attention.

Dustin’s 1997 Chevrolet received minor damages and was able to drive his car from the scene of the crash. No arrest information has been reported for the death of Susan.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Corporal D.W. Melton and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department.
