Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle with attached Tractor and Trailer

In Cole County, a Vehicle Fails to Observe Roadway, Leaving Pedestrian with Serious Injuries.

On August 24, 2014, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Adam J Lueckenhoff, age 31 of Lohman, Missouri, was operating a 2000 Buick Century. An unidentified driver was operating a 2011 Cub Cadet with a trailer. Joy Heidbreder, age 60 of Lohman, Missouri, was the pedestrian involved.

At that said date and time, the unknown driver of the lawn tractor and trailer was partially parked on the roadway going southbound on St. Michaels Road. Pedestrian, Joy Heidbreder was standing in front of the tractor and trailer. Adam Lueckenhoff, also going southbound, failed to observe the tractor and trailer, striking the 2011 Cub Cadet. Because of the impact of Adams’ vehicle to the tractor and trailer, Joy Heidbreder was then struck by the Cub Cadet due to impact.

Joy Heidbreder received serious injuries and was transported to the University Hospital. Both Adam and the unidentified driver left the scene with no apparent injuries.

Adam’s 2000 Buick Century received moderate damages and was towed by Broadway Towing. The 2011 Cub Cadet received total damages and was towed by private conveyance.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol by Trooper C. Winter and with the assistance of CPL. K. Green and Cole County Sheriff’s Office.
