Pettis County Pedestrian Crash

In Pettis County, a Sedalia man is serious injured after a vehicle collides with him in the roadway.

On February 25, 2013 at approximately 6:15 a.m., Richard Reynolds, age 43 from Sedalia, Missouri was operating a 2009 Nissan. John Baker, age 22 and from Sedalia, Missouri was walking along the roadway.

At that said date and time, Richard Reynolds was traveling in the northbound direction on Highway U and 3/10 of a mile north of Anderson School Road. The crashoccurred as Richard’s vehicle collided with pedestrian, John Baker, in the middle of the roadway.

John Baker suffered serious injuries from the collision and was Life Flighted to the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri in critical condition. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Richard Reynolds was uninjured in the collision.

Richard Reynold’s 2009 Nissan received moderate damages and was driven from the scene of the crash by the owner.

This pedestrian crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop A and the Pettis County Sherriff’s Department.

Investigation still continues.
