On June 20, 2012 at approximately 11:00 A.M., 75-year-old Raymond McLean from Festus, Missouri was traveling south on US 61 at I-55 in Jefferson County while operating a 2005 Lexus LS430. At said time and place, Keith Buehler, age 17, from Ste. Genevieve, Missouri was heading north in a 1997 Chevrolet 1500 pick-up truck. Raymond McLean had one passenger – Carolyn McLean, age 70, from Festus, Missouri.
Buehler, the at-fault driver, suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash to Barnes – Jewish Hospital by Survival Flight Helicopter Service. Raymond McLean, the victim driver, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by paramedics. Passenger Carolyn McLean was also pronounced dead at the scene. Both victims were taken to St. Louis County Morgue by the Jefferson County medical examiner.
McLean’s vehicle received total damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Pippin’s Towing of Festus, Missouri. Buehler’s vehicle received total damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Pippin’s Towing.
