Rear-end Collision Results in Serious Injuries


In Vernon County, three people are seriously injured after a rear-end collision.

On June 13, 2013 at approximately 3:45 p.m., Lerri McFadden, age 55 of Stockton, Missouri was operating a 2009 Ford F150 along with passenger Connie Fisher, age 62 of Stockton, Missouri. Joshua Holder, age 19 of Jericho Springs, Missouri was operating a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer.

At that said date and time, Lerri McFadden and Joshua Holder were both traveling in the eastbound direction on US Highway 54 and two miles east of Nevada, Missouri. The collision occurred as Lerri McFadden’s vehicle was stopped to make a left turn off of US 54 when Joshua’s vehicle rear-ended his.

Due to the collision, Lerri McFadden and Connie Fisher received serious injuries and were transported to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Joshua Holder also received serious injuries from the crash and was taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, Missouri.

According to the crash report taken by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all participants involved in this crash were wearing their seat belts.

Joshua Holder’s 2000 Mercury Mountaineer and Lerri McFadden’s 2009 Ford F150 both received total damages from the rear-end collision and were towed by Steward Wrecker and Towing of Eldorado Springs, Missouri.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
