Sainte Genevieve, Missouri Boy Killed In Head-on Collision

Missouri teenager was killed when another vehicle crossed the center line and struck him head on.

On February 28, 2011 at approximately 10:10pm, 17 year old Jacob Blum was operating a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier traveling eastbound on MO Route 32 about .4 miles east of Schwartz Road. At that said time and place, 53 year old Judson Kimbrough was operating a 2005 Dodge Magnum traveling westbound on MO Route 32. Kimbrough then crossed over the center line and struck Blum head on.

17 year old Jacob Blum was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. He was then transported to Mineral Area Hospital by the St. Francois County Coroner. The at-fault driver and his passenger, 51 year old Jarvis Kimbrough, were taken to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, Creve Coeur, by helicopter with serious injuries.

Both vehicles received total damage and were towed from the scene by Marler’s Towing and Buckley’s Towing. The at-fault driver was wearing his safety device; however, his passenger and the deceased driver were not.
