Serious Injuries for Gallatin Teen

In Daviess County, a driver sustains serious injuries after he lost control of his vehicle.

On September 15, 2012 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Lance Rodkey, age 19 and from Gallatin, Missouri was operating a 1998 Dodge Neon and was traveling in the northbound direction.

At that said time and place, Lance Rodkey was traveling in the northbound direction on Missouri highway 13, 6 miles north of Hamilton. The crash occurred as Lance was attempting to pass another vehicle. Lance crossed the center line and lost control of his vehicle and the vehicle began skidding across the roadway. Then Lance over corrected his vehicle causing it to slid off the west side of the roadway, striking the ground, going airborne, and overturning several times. Lance’s vehicle came to a rest leaning against a tree with the nose of the vehicle on the ground. Lance was ejected from his vehicle.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lance Rodkey was not wearing his seat belt during the time of the crash.

Lance Rodkey received serious injuries from the crash and was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Cameron County ambulance.

Lance Rodkey’s 1998 Dodge Neon received total damages and was towed by Bridgeman’s Towing of Altamont, Missouri.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop H.
