Serious Injuries in Head-on Collision Crash

In Stone County, a female is seriously injured on Wednesday morning resulting from a head-on collision crash.

On February 15, 2012 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Andrew Lietzen, age 26 and of Kimberling City, Missouri was operating a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer traveling in the eastbound direction of US 13. Darren Gideon, age 40, and his wife Jennifer, age 36, were operating a 2001 Ford Mustang and traveling in the westbound direction of US 13. Jennifer and Darren are both residents of Lampe, Missouri.

At that said time and place, Darren and Andrew were both driving along US 13, at Missouri 86 in Blue Eye, when Andrew failed to yield. Andrew’s vehicle turned in front of Darren’s vehicle head-on and collided right on the passenger side where Jennifer was sitting.

Both Darren and Andrew reported to be uninjured and did not seek medical attention. As for Jennifer Gideon, she received serious injuries from the crash collision and was taken by ambulance to Skagg’s Hospital in Branson, Missouri.

Darren’s 2001 Ford Mustang received total damages from the crash and was towed privately. Andrew’s 2009 Mitsubishi also received total damages and his vehicle was towed by Chris’ Towing in Lampe.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop D.
