Howard County, Missouri-
The tragic news came in shortly after 3:30pm on Tuesday, September 18th 2018.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, there was a terrible accident on Highway 87 in Howard County. At approximately 3:30 p.m., a 2004 Dodge Neon driven by Hannah Nicole Norris, 18, of Glasgow Missouri, was travelling southbound on Highway 87, about a mile north of the Route K intersection. Passengers in the Dodge Neon included Autumn Norris, 15, also of Glasgow Missouri and Shane Ashpaugh, 17, of Boonville Missouri.
The report states that Hannah Norris’ Dodge Neon, crossed the centerline on Highway 87 and struck another car. The other automobile, a 2015 Ford Fusion, was driven by Kenneth Huddle, 75, of Keytesville, Missouri.
Shane Ashpaugh of Boonville and Kenneth Huddle of Keytesville, were killed in this terrible, two car crash. They were pronounced at the scene just before 5:00 p.m. by Howard County Coroner, Frank Flashpohler.
Hannah and Autumn Norris were both seriously injured in the crash and were rushed by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.
The cross over accident was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Trooper AM Richerson, 759, and Sgt. GD Ward, 1189, of the Missouri Crash Investigation Unit. They were assisted by Cpl. GL West, 702, and Tpr. KS Linneman, 404.
