Shannon County Crash Injures Three

In Shannon County, three people are injured in a two-vehicle crash after one driver travels into the path of oncoming traffic.

On January 10, 2013 at approximately 5:57 a.m., Erica Mayberry, age 28 from Birch Tree, was operating a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Kyle Koehn, age 19 from Mountain View, Missouri was operating a 1999 Dodge pick-up truck. Chad Borgman, age 19 from Mountain View, Missouri was the only passenger in Kyle’s vehicle at the time of the crash.

At that said date and time, Erica Mayberry was traveling in the northbound direction on Route T while Kyle Koehn was traveling in the eastbound direction on US Highway 60. The crash occurred as Erica’s vehicle traveled into the path of Kyle’s vehicle and collided.

Kyle Koehn received minor injuries and Chad Borgman received moderate injuries from the crash. Both were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View, Missouri. Erica Mayberry was moderately injured and transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all occupants involved in this crash were not wearing their seat belts.

Erica Mayberry’s 1999 Jeep Cherokee received extensive damages and was towed by Gentleman Tim’s Towing. Kyle Koehn’s 1999 Dodge pick-up truck received extensive damages and was towed by Dave’s Auto Service.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop G.
