In Lewis County, two vehicles met on a bridge and collided head-on.
On June 30, 2012 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Braden Marten, age 18 and of Canton, Missouri was operating a 1995 Jeep Cherokee and traveling in the southbound direction. Braden had only one passenger in his vehicle during the time of the collision, Brooke Wells, age 17 and of Canton. Collin Hogan, age 16 and of Canton, Missouri was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche and traveling in the northbound direction.
At that said time and place, Braden Marten was traveling south while Collin was traveling in the northbound direction on 344th Avenue, two miles north of West Quincy. The collision occurred when Braden and Collin met on a bridge and collided head-on.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brooke Wells was the only passenger injured in the crash. Brooke Wells received moderate injuries and was transported by Lewis County ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Braden Marten’s 1995 Jeep and Collin Hogan’s 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche received moderate damages and were towed by Roberts Garage in Ewing, Missouri.
This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop B, Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Lagrande First Responders, and Lewis County ambulance.
