Teenagers Seriously Injured in Christian County Crash


In Christian County, three teenagers were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash that collided with a tree.

On February 19, 2014 at approximately 4:50 p.m., Devan Hall, age 16 of Ozark, Missouri was operating a 2000 Chevrolet Pickup along with Jacob Ketchum, age 16 of Ozark, Missouri and Xavier Thomas, age 16 of Ozark, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Devan was traveling in the southbound direction on Elk Valley Road and one mile south of Ozark, Missouri. The crash occurred as Devan lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the right side of the roadway, colliding into a tree.

Jacob Ketchum and Devan Hall received serious injuries from the collision and were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Xavier Thomas was also seriously injured and transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Xavier Thomas nor Jacob Ketchum was wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

Devan’s 2000 Chevrolet Pickup received total damages and was towed by American Auto of Ozark, Missouri.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
