Teens Seriously Injured in Tree Collision


In Laclede County, two teens are seriously injured after their vehicle travels off the road and collided with a tree.

On June 20, 2013 at approximately 1:00 a.m., Caleb Starnes, age 18 of Lebanon, Missouri was operating a 2000 Ford Ranger along with passenger Kourtney Tipton, age 16 of Lebanon, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Caleb Starnes was traveling in the eastbound direction and 13 miles northwest of Lebanon on Kinfolk Road. The crash occurred when Caleb lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the right side of the road, colliding with a tree.

Kourtney Tipton and Caleb Starnes received serious injuries from the collision and were transported to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri by a private vehicle.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Caleb Starnes was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and it is unknown if Kourtney Tipson was or not.

Caleb Starnes’ 2000 Ford Ranger received extensive damages from the collision and was towed by Steve’s Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop I.
