Three Fatalities in Head-on Collision

In Miller County, the at-fault driver and the occupants inside the other vehicle are killed after a head-on collision.

On November 30, 2013 at approximately 6:15 p.m., Ashley Burns, age 29 of Linn Creek, Missouri was operating a 2005 Ford Escape. Kenneth Crockett, age 51 of Eldon, Missouri was operating a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer along with passenger Tammy Luttrell, age 55 of Iberia, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Ashley Burns was traveling in the eastbound direction as Kenneth Crockett was traveling in the westbound direction on Missouri Highway 42 and .3 miles west of Hawken Cemetery Road. The crash occurred as Ashley failed to drive on the right half of the roadway, causing her vehicle to cross the center line and collide with Kenneth’s vehicle head-on.

Tammy Luttrell, Kenneth Crockett, and Ashley Burns were all pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Miller County coroner, Rick Callahan, and then transported to Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Kaiser, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, none of the occupants involved in this crash were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.

Ashley Burn’s 2005 Ford Escape and Kenneth Crockett’s 1998 Chevrolet Blazer received total damages. Both vehicles were towed by Hi-Tech Towing.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop F.
