Three Injured in Two-vehicle Crash

In Clay County, as a result of this two-vehicle collision, three of the occupants are injured.

On March 18, 2012 at approximately 1:28 p.m., Vicki Bradley, age 55 and of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and her four year-old passenger, Culton Rogers, was operating a 2006 Kia and traveling in the southbound direction of I-35. Ottilew Maupin, age 78 and of New Boston, Missouri was operating a 2005 Chevrolet and traveling in the southbound direction.

At that said time and place, Vicki was traveling southbound on I-35, north of MO 291, when she swerved on the roadway and collided into Ottilew’s passenger side. Vicki’s vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned.

Ottilew Maupin received minor injuries from this crash collision and was taken to Liberty Hospital by Liberty EMS. Vicki received minor injuries, while her passenger Culton, sustained moderate injuries and both were transported by Liberty EMS to Liberty Hospital.

Ottilew’s 2005 Chevrolet received extensive damages due to the crash and her vehicle was towed by Precision Tow. Vicki’s 2006 Kia received total damages and was towed by L & L Towing.

This crash collision is still undergoing investigation according the Missouri State Highway Patrol with charges pending. This investigation was assisted by troop A and the Liberty Police department.
